My vision is to share with you through my writings what God has put upon my heart and spirit. The Lord has shown me what he requires of me, and I am ready to do his will. Spiritual warfare is something I am no stranger to. We are truly living in the last and evil days. Some of you are fighting and don't even know what you are fighting. The flesh is dangerous, the heart is wicked and corrupt, and sometimes we become our own enemy. For these reasons, it is important to stay on your knees or in your prayer closet, asking God to cover you from the enemy because Satan is out to kill and destroy. I know firsthand! Knowing Satan’s goal is to destroy me is why I lift my hands and glorify him. He spared my life and gave me one more chance to get it right, so here I am.
I was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. My childhood was not easy, but God had a plan for me and covered me with his hands of mercy, especially when I couldn't cover myself. I dropped out of high school at the age of 14 and walked down some dangerous highways for the next few years..
I left Chicago and moved to Terry, Mississippi, where I received my first blessing: my GED. I relocated to Chicago and enrolled in Olive Harvey Jr. College from which I graduated with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts May 2, 1986. After that, I began to make some foolish decisions that caused my life to spiral out of control and led me down a pathway to hell.
Once again, God came to my rescue. I will save those traumas for my next book. I decided after years of struggling with demonic warfare to join the military. After numerous of appearances in court to clear my name to avoid a six year prison term (God covered me from the enemy), I enlisted in the United States Army on October 15, 1987, and retired after 20 years at Fort Lewis, WA, on November 1, 2007. During my time in the Armed Forces, I received my B.A. in Biblical Studies from Amridge University (formally Regions University) in December of 2006. Three years later, I obtained my Master of Science Degree from Liberty University on May 10, 2009.. Before the year ended, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent brain surgery Dec 10, 2009 (click photos below). As you can see spiritual warfare is something I am no stranger to.
The Book of Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) clearly states: "We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
I had three major deployments Operation Desert Storm Desert Shield, Operation Uphold Democracy (Haiti), and Tikrit, Iraq. My highest award achieved is the Bronze Star, which I received while assigned as the Senior Food Operations Non Commissioned Officer during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I am married with three children and currently reside in NYC. I am an aspiring writer and Psalmist who loves to sing praise and worship songs for the Lord (singing since age 5). I have come close to death on three different occasions, but God spared me and covered me from my enemies. One of those enemies was "me.” It's funny how we all have those relatives who predict the age you will live to see. I had one aunt who told me I would not live to see 21, but, as you can tell, she was wrong. Satan is a liar and wanted to plant that seed that I would die young in my head. I proved him wrong, too. I am 49 years old and living every moment I have left here on earth doing God's will. I am a true warrior, now in the Lord’s army. I owe the Lord Praise! Thank God for Forgiveness.
